The combination of text, photos, audio and video reinforce the information much better than just reading books. In viewing just one of the city tours, I have already learned several facts that I did not get from books. The information presented is complete enough to understand what you will be seeing while not overwhelming you with trivia. The videos are very well done, and give an impression of what it is like to be there much better than photos alone can do. The app starts up in iTouch size on the iPad, but blowing it up 2X does not result in poor quality. It still looks great. If you plan to go to Pompeii, absolutely buy this app and spend some time studying it. You’ll be very glad you did!
